Star (Wars) turn out in Hollywood for Google Car
Darth Vader (and friend) recently took a trip to Hollywood to get their picture taken by the Google Car. Whether this is a hostile move by Darth remains to be seen but he does look particularly menacing.

Google testing different size search result descriptions

Yesterday a Webmaster World forum thread reported that some users were being given the ability by Google to change the length of their search result descriptions. Users reported being able to select ‘S’, ‘M’ or ‘L’ to change the length of the snippet.

Google gets search results very badly wrong
As you probably know, Paul Newman, the American actor and film director, died on Friday after a long battle with cancer. Michael Gray spotted that a search for ‘Paul Newman dead’ brings the results shown above, with number 1 result being a story on Digg - ‘Paul Newman believed dead in plane crash‘.
