Bloggle : An unofficial Google Blog

Google updates very unpopular EULA

When Google released Chrome on Tuesday, they made a mistake. The EULA (terms of service) stated that any content “submitted, posted or displayed on or through the browser” belonged to…Google.

Bad. Very bad. That would mean, if I used Chrome (I still can’t) to post to Bloggle, everything I wrote would belong to Google. This received a less than happy reaction from users.

But, Google responded and agreed their EULA sucked big time and have just now announced via the Official Google Blog that the terms have service have been updated.

“…for Google Chrome, only the first sentence of Section 11 should have applied. We’re sorry we overlooked this, but we’ve fixed it now, and you can read the updated Google Chrome terms of service.”

Hooray…we can all use Chrome again!
